SAIC-GM-Wuling releases mini smart battery swapping station and "Strong core" strategy
 
On September 15, SAIC-GM-Wuling announced that the cumulative sales of GSEV (Global Small Pure Electric Platform) products exceeded 500,000 units. It also released the Big data report for GSE and technology research and development program, the smart micro power station and "Strong core" strategy.

Voyah releases "Amber" and "Mica" battery systems
 
On September 17, Voyah released two major battery systems, named Amber and Mica. The the biggest feature is safety. In addition, Voyah announced the next-generation battery program.
 
SAIC announces the strategic program for a new round of development of new energy vehicles
 
On September 16, SAIC Group announced its strategy program for the development of new energy vehicles by 2025, its global sales of new energy vehicles will exceed 2.7 million units, accounting for no less than 32% of SAIC's total vehicle sales; the sales of independent brands will exceed 4.8 million units. Of which, the sales of new energy vehicles will account for more than 38%; the group will strive to achieve a emission peak by 2025.

Nio formally launched Ternary lithium iron battery
 
A few days ago, the standard Nio ternary iron-lithium battery pack (battery pack capacity of 75kWh) was formally released. The pre-order for models being equipped with the battery packs will start on September 23. The new car is expected to be delivered to users in November this year.New car users can choose the ternary iron-lithium battery pack (75kWh) or the ternary lithium long-range battery pack (100kWh). The battery packs (70kWh battery pack models) had the same price settings.
 
VW China builds new battery plant in Anhui
 
On September 23, Volkswagen Group (China) formally started construction of its battery system plant in Hefei, Anhui. This plant is the first battery system plant wholly-owned by Volkswagen Group in China. The initial annual production capacity can reach 150,000 to 180,000 sets of high-voltage battery systems. All products will be used for pure electric vehicles produced by Volkswagen's MEB plant in Anhui.

On September 17, Infineon announced the start of operations of its 300mm thin wafer power semiconductor chip plant in Austria. The annual output of power semiconductors can meet the demands for the producing of 25 million electric vehicles.

Global Foundry, the world's fourth-ranked wafer foundry, announced that it will invest US$6 billion to expand production capacity in Singapore, the United States, and Germany in the next two years. All chips produced in the three plants can be used in the automotive industry, but the chip capacity expansion program is expected to get results in 2023.

On September 22, SAIC Z-One announced that it and Technomous jointly designed and developed a  HPC based on “Z-One Galaxy Full Stack 3.0”. The HPC will create a modular and expandable integration of software and hardware. The computing platform integrates intelligent interactive experience and high-end autonomous driving to create an intelligent cockpit with rich scenarios and supports autonomous driving above L4.
